Job summary

Shield AI offers a Summer Internship program for Fall and Spring graduates to work on optimizing R&M of autonomous defense systems. You will build sustainment tools, analyze logistics data, and develop data pipelines to track fleet health on-site in a 10-week paid internship with mentorship and potential full-time opportunities.

You’ll work with Python/SQL/R and Palantir Foundry, gain exposure to FRACAS, and collaborate with software and logistics teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a STEM degree in a related field at an accredited program.
• Strong Python/SQL/R skills and experience with data visualization tools.
• Solid understanding of probability, statistics, and engineering economics as applied to reliability and logistics.
• Excellent communication skills to translate data into actionable engineering recommendations.
• Willingness to commit to an on-site, 10-week full-time internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop sustainment tools, dashboards, and data pipelines to track fleet metrics.
• Assist reliability, availability, and maintainability analyses (R&M; FMECA).
• Clean and analyze telemetry, maintenance logs, and supply chain data with Python/SQL and Palantir Foundry.
• Support FRACAS to identify trends in failures and improve lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with software, logistics, and field operations to automate data collection and documentation.
