Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a unit of RTX, seeks an engineering leader to drive configuration management for the F135 Sustainment Engine Core Upgrade and related programs. Onsite in East Hartford, you will collaborate across functions to optimize BoMs, manage changes, and ensure readiness of parts and spares.

The role requires a STEM background, senior engineering experience, and strong communication with customers and management in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM required; 12 years engineering experience or an advanced degree with 10 years engineering experience.
U.S. citizenship required for access to program/contract.
Strong systems engineering background with technical acumen.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership in cross-functional settings.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of management.

Responsibilities

Drive and integrate program requirements to develop configuration management plans and BoM.
Support Engine Core Upgrade configuration management and transition strategy.
Support Product Change & Incorporation Review (PCIR) processes.
Champion configuration optimization efforts and align across the organization.
Engage in spare parts issues to ensure efficient processes.
Enable supply chain to optimize resources among part producers.
