Job summary

Orascoptic Envista in Madison, Wisconsin, seeks an engineer to lead electromechanical product development from concept to implementation. You will work hands-on while guiding cross-functional teams, suppliers, and partners to bring innovative dental/medical loupes to market.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical Engineering, at least 2 years' experience in regulated medical device development, strong CAD (SolidWorks), and familiarity with Agile/MasterControl.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in product development.
• Experience in medical devices or regulated industry is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Works independently on requirements, design, prototyping, and verification.
• Manages sustaining projects to improve safety/quality and reduce costs.
• Owns VAVE projects to drive cost savings.
• Designs and assembles prototypes to support VOC and verification.
• Maintains BOMs and coordinates engineering changes.
