Job summary

Envista’s Orascoptic brand in Madison seeks a Sustaining Product Engineer to lead electromechanical development from concept to implementation. You will guide VAVE-driven cost saving, support prototype verification, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on site four days a week.

The role requires hands-on engineering leadership, design for reliability, regulatory awareness (FDA QSR, GMP, ISO 13485), and collaboration with suppliers and partners. 5% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical Engineering; 2+ years in product development.
• Strong CAD experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with PDM tools such as Agile or MasterControl is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead sustaining engineering projects to improve product safety/quality and reduce costs.
• Design and prototype verification activities and test plans.
• Manage BOMs and engineering change orders.
• Collaborate with external design resources to ensure quality and performance.
• Ensure compliance with FDA QSR, GMP, and ISO 13485.
• Travel up to 5% domestically.
