We are looking for Sustaining Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be an integral part of a dynamic and growing engineering team with room to innovate, learn and grow rapidly.

Pay range is $75,000-$105,000 (based on skills/knowledge/experience).

Location: Carson, CA (onsite)

Job Description:

The Sustaining Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in supporting mature products through vendor transitions and sustaining efforts. A primary responsibility is to prepare and thoroughly review engineering drawings for technical accuracy, detailed tolerancing, and proper application of GD&T, ensuring they are ready for release to Supply Chain and external vendors.

A key focus of the role is to support clean and efficient transitions of existing products by delivering finalized and accurate documentation, validating vendor readiness, and confirming manufacturability.

This position works closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and external vendors to maintain alignment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth production continuity. The engineer will also manage BOM updates, participate in ECOs, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Occasional travel to vendor sites for reviews, tooling readiness assessments, and production alignment is expected.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (required)
• 2–5 years of experience in sustaining or manufacturing engineering
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T principles
• Proficient in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), BOM management, and ECOs
• Demonstrated ability to support product transitions between vendors or manufacturing sites
• Ability to review and finalize detailed engineering drawings to ensure manufacturability and compliance
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communicator with cross-functional teams and external vendors
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to vendor sites for design reviews, tooling readiness, and production alignment
