Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with heavy-haul trailers, heavy equipment, or fabricated mobile equipment preferred.
• Proven leadership experience developing engineers and aligning technical priorities.
• Strong background in mechanical design, structural, hydraulics, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CAD, engineering data management, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers for existing product platforms and production support.
• Set engineering priorities and allocate resources based on production needs and improvements.
• Maintain consistent engineering standards and practices across the portfolio.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance while engaging in day-to-day operations.
• Own sustaining engineering for heavy-haul trailer platforms and product evolution.
• Drive design improvements for manufacturability, durability, and cost efficiency.
• Resolve design-related production issues, quality concerns, and warranty problems.
• Apply root-cause analysis, DFMEA, and customer feedback to identify improvements.
• Lead design reviews and ensure changes meet standards and product integrity.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to improve efficiency.
• Improve drawings, BOMs, documentation, and release processes.
• Drive design-for-manufacturability and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Provide timely support to resolve manufacturing challenges and delays.
• Evaluate material and design options with cross-functional teams for cost and availability.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in heavy-haul trailers or fabricated mobile equipment

Engineering leadership or team management

Mechanical design experience

DFMEA and design reviews experience
