Lectrosonics, Inc. is looking for a Sustaining Engineer to join our dynamic and talented team. In this role, you will ensure the continued successful operation of complex electronic products, including wireless microphone systems, working at the forefront of RF, analog, mixed-signal, and digital technologies. You will contribute to groundbreaking projects that shape the future of professional audio while collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring products and systems continue to operate effectively throughout their lifecycles.
  • Identifying and resolving product or system issues.
  • Implementing changes to improve performance, safety, compliance, or cost.
  • Coordinating and managing design changes, including material changes, testing standards, and process improvements.
  • Performing design verification and process verification/validation.
  • Providing engineering support for component obsolescence issues.
  • Ensuring product compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Contributing to the long-term performance and lifespan of products and systems.
  • Providing technical support to various teams and customers.
  • Supporting the documentation of designs, including BOMs, drawings, and procedures.
  • Employing analytical principles such as root cause analysis.

Qualifications

  • Established background in electronics, RF circuit design.
  • Experience in product design, development, and manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of analog and digital electronic circuit theory.
  • Basic knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout programs.
  • Solid understanding of common electronic component types and specifications.
  • Solid understanding of measurement and testing principles for audio, radio and digital circuits.
  • Skilled at using a range of lab instruments such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, etc.
  • Good technical writing skills for documenting design specifications.
  • Experience with the use of soldering irons, hot air guns, solder rework/reflow stations.

Education: BS degree from an accredited school in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
