Cook Inc - Spencer in Spencer, Indiana, is offering a Spring 2027 Sustaining Engineering Co-op. This paid 16-week internship features a rotation through Post-Market and Sustaining Engineering with direct mentorship and real-world projects in the medical device manufacturing field.

Housing stipend, 401(k), fitness center access, learning events, capstone presentation, and more are provided to support student growth and hands-on engineering experience.

Qualifications

• College/University student entering Sophomore, Junior or Senior year the following Fall Semester or Graduate student enrolled in Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
• All candidates must provide proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Co-Ops may be involved in projects in the following areas: Process Improvement; Test Method Validation; Production; Continuous Improvement; Process Technology; Manufacturing Transfer; Supplier; Sustaining; Engineering Test Lab; Sustaining Materials; Quality Engineering; Quality Data Analytics; Research and Development
• Utilize engineering knowledge to produce project deliverables / documents
• Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
