Job summary

LPA is seeking a Structural Design Intern to join our multidisciplinary design team in Dallas. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners on a range of projects from offices to complex laboratories and performing arts centers.

You will participate in the design process, assist engineers and project managers, and contribute to research on innovative design and analysis methods.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of CAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
• Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious and open minded to learn.
• Committed to building a long-term professional career.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the integrated design process with other disciplines at LPA.
• Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers in the comprehensive structural design of a large variety of building types and structural systems.
• Work on research for next generation design and analysis methods related to projects.
