Job summary

PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week paid program in New York, NY. The internship offers hands-on experience in sustainable building design within our engineering and design teams.

You will perform load calculations, explore PV/wind energy options, and assist CAD/Revit drafting. This on-site internship includes commuter stipend and committee involvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3rd year undergraduate student preferred.
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry.
• Passionate about sustainable design solutions.
• Effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Electrical load calculations/Block loads.
• Schematic design narratives.
• NEC review.
• Renewable energy research (PV, wind, fuel cell).
• Layout/drafting of PV system (CAD/Revit).
• Emerging technologies (BIPV, EV charging).
• Cost estimate review/preparation.
• M/E coordination schedule.
• Site visits and observation reports.
