Job description

Sustainable Landscape Maintenance Technician

Enjoy outdoor gardening among pollinators and birds by regularly caring for sustainable landscapes across West Michigan. A successful Maintenance Technician will have a self-directed mindset, eager to learn and apply aftercare maintenance methods to Roots Wild landscapes in various seasons and weather conditions.

Are you able to conceptualize the big picture plan AND enjoy tending to the details that make that plan successful? Do you love plants and being outdoors?

This is a great opportunity to work outdoors in landscape design maintenance.

Post-installation landscape care includes:
  • Weeding
  • Transplanting
  • Deadheading
  • Trimming
  • Waste removal
  • Team/client communication
  • Seasonal pot installations
Job Requirements:

  • Physical ability to lift, squat, push, pull, and shovel
  • Self-motivated to work in unfavorable weather conditions
Schedule:
  • Part-time (potential to become full-time)
  • Seasonal (from end of April through mid-October)
Compensation:
  • $17.50 - $19.50 per hour, based on experience
  • Competitive hourly pay
