Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, in Minneapolis, seeks an Electrical Designer with experience in consulting engineering to design electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and controls, emergency power, UPS, and low-voltage systems for bidding and construction on various projects. The Electrical Engineer will work with a team to design energy-efficient buildings for CMTA’s clients and participate in all project phases.

This position is onsite in our Minneapolis office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 1+ year of experience with MEP design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Collaborate with owners, clients, architects, and contractors.
• Apply engineering principles to design energy-efficient electrical systems.
• Review contractor submittals to ensure conformance with contract documents.
• Design and specify system components to meet project goals.
