Job summary

Sherwood Design Engineers in Des Moines, IA seeks a Project Manager - Civil Engineering to lead complex site development and infrastructure projects with a focus on grading, utilities, drainage and stormwater design.

You will mentor staff, manage scope and schedule, and coordinate with clients and design teams to deliver on budget and quality. A PE or ability to obtain is required, with 8+ years of delivery experience and strong communication. Occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering engineering and construction projects with solid technical knowledge across civil.
• 2+ years leading engineering teams through completion of construction and master planning.
• PE Registration in California or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of engineering efforts from inception to construction.
• Coordinate with Design Team, Client, and construction teams to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Mentor and develop staff, promoting team strengths.
• Ensure work is conducted safely and ethically according to engineering standards.
