Job summary

Sherwood Design Engineers in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Design Engineer II-III to join a growing team focused on sustainable infrastructure and water management. The role supports civil/environmental design tasks, site assessments, and detailed plan preparation for commercial, institutional, and residential projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 2+ years of industry experience in civil or environmental projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related design software.
• Ability to assemble plan sets and prepare technical documents.
• Familiarity with codes, zoning and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical site assessments and field visits.
• Collect data and perform numerical computations in hydrology and hydraulics.
• Prepare technical reports, project specs, and cost estimates.
• Create and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Oversee construction to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
