Job summary

National Trench Safety in Houston, TX is seeking a CAD Drafter to support engineering and process facilities with CAD drafting and drawing/design management activities. The role involves assisting engineers, preparing drawings from sketches, and translating plans into NTS formats.

Required is a basic knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT, familiarity with OSHA and trench/shoring requirements, and at least one year of CAD drafting experience.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Basic knowledge of all NTS equipment.
• Proficient in researching the current state of CAD practice.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA and applicable state and local requirements relative to Trench and Excavation Shoring and Shielding.
• Minimum one year of experience as a CAD drafter.
• High School Diploma; associate/technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineers and Salesmen to develop basic engineering plans and Sales drawings.
• Prepare drawings from rough sketches, notes, marked-up prints, written/verbal instructions with CAD, and other design software.
• Translate existing plans into NTS formats.
