Job description

Sustainability Trainee (Winter Season) - Six Senses Crans Montana

As a Sustainability Trainee, you will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the following areas:

  • Manage Earth Lab operations (Weekly activity calendar, on-demand workshops, creation of new workshops, inventory, stock re-ordering, cleanliness, amenity production, revenue generation)
  • Assist in the management of Water Bottling Facilities: setup, requisition, maintenance, bottling, and improvement
  • Lead children's activities in & out of the Earth Lab, and assist with children during Sunday brunch
  • Participate in Waste Management, ensuring the team has the necessary equipment to operate seamlessly
  • Assist with GSTC application & other paperwork for the Home Office
  • Enhance Sustainability-related Wellness offerings for hosts
  • Collaborate closely with the Wellness team (Alchemy bar, outdoor activities, curated experiences, etc.) as needed
  • Support the Experience team in leading Out of the Ordinary experiences and follow up with guests
  • Work on increasing the integration of Sustainability philosophy in the guest journey
  • Enhance guest-facing visibility of the Sustainability Fund and communicate the value of these projects
  • Engage with various Sustainability Fund partners

Sustainability is a diverse role with many possibilities; candidates should remain open-minded and be prepared to work cross-departmentally daily.

Qualifications

To succeed as a Sustainability Trainee, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with hotel systems including POS, PMS, and CRM platforms
  • Excellent guest service skills and knowledge of guest-related functions
  • Fluency in English and French
