Job summary

SBA Communications seeks a Corporate Sustainability Strategy Analyst to conduct research and analysis on industry trends, regulations, and strategic opportunities to advance the company’s sustainability objectives and reporting requirements. This role collaborates across departments to deliver meaningful outcomes and financial returns.

The analyst will support emissions accounting, data collection, and reporting, while helping drive operational efficiencies and risk mitigation across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, accounting, finance, sustainability or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in a relevant discipline (MBA, Sustainability, or equivalent).
• 1–3 years of relevant business experience in corporate sustainability or management consulting.
• Experience supporting sustainability reporting activities (GRI, SASB, IFRS S1/S2).
• Foundational analytical skills and strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of the company’s sustainability strategy aligned with goals, mission, vision and values.
• Contribute to development and delivery of the annual Sustainability Report.
• Prepare presentations and management reports.
• Research industry trends, standards and emerging regulations for sustainability objectives.
• Assist with renewable energy strategy implementation to meet goals.
• Deliver cross-functional sustainability assignments to support strategy.
• Analyze benchmarks and KPIs to measure progress and impact.
• Report on project outcomes and propose improvements.
• Support shareholder engagement meetings on sustainability with major investors.
• Draft responses to credit and sustainability rating agencies and key customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams including operations, accounting and commercial affairs.
