Job description

Company Overview

AgSpire is an end-to-end implementation partner for regenerative agriculture, offering strategic advisory, project design, and on-the-ground expertise to design and execute sustainable supply shed solutions within food and agriculture value chains. Utilizing regenerative approaches and our deep knowledge of what's possible within agriculture, our nature-based solutions yield measurable progress toward sustainability targets, with tangible outcomes related to soil health, carbon sequestration, enhanced biodiversity, and improved water and air quality.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Sustainability Service Manager with strong corporate sustainability and production agriculture expertise to join our growing team. This unique role blends corporate client management, sustainability program design, regenerative agriculture, and greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting. The successful candidate will be comfortable serving as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of corporate AgSpire clients, responsible for keeping engagements on track, making strategic recommendations for clients, and growing accounts. Roughly 70% of the role is client account management — owning and navigating client relationships, aligning internal teams to account priorities, advising clients on key decisions, and driving account growth through expanded engagements. The remaining 30% is hands‑on technical contribution to agricultural greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting workstreams, including protocol alignment, project design documentation, and model (MMRV) management.

You will serve as a trusted resource to corporate clients, constantly working to develop on-the-ground agricultural solutions that align with client goals. A strong understanding of corporate sustainability dynamics, targets, and priorities as well as production agriculture and greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting is preferred. This full‑time, salaried position reports to the VP of Client Services & Account Strategy.

What You will Do:
Client account management (~70%)
  • Serve as the day‑to‑day point of contact for a portfolio of client relationships and engagements, setting the communication approach, leading strategic touchpoints, and acting as the client’s primary point of accountability.
  • Manage client requirements (targets, timelines, claimability specifications) with on‑the‑ground project teams across all areas of Scope 3 project implementation, including recruitment, enrollment, technical assistance, data collection, MMRV, protocol alignment, and corporate reporting
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client decision‑makers, framing trade‑offs, preparing high quality recommendations, and guiding clients through technical and commercial choices in alignment with client priorities and AgSpire services, capabilities, and core values.
  • Align internal delivery teams to account priorities and client objectives, and advocate for the client’s interest in internal resourcing and prioritization discussions.
  • Ensure client service, work product, and outcome delivery aligns with or exceeds expectations.
  • Create and quality‑check client deliverables, memos, and presentations
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and support proposal development; contribute to the development of business proposals for the expansion and addition of services
  • Track account health, document decisions, and maintain organized engagement records
Scope 3 / GHG technical work (~30%)
  • Contribute to project design & management activities, including claimability plan development, protocol alignment questions, quantification approach creation, and efforts to overlay co‑benefits
  • Support efforts to operationalize claimability attributes from plan to action across data collection, MMRV alignment & management, execution of protocol requirements, GHG accounting, and corporate reporting, liaising as needed with AgSpire’s technical assistance team to enable effective project delivery
  • Act as a liaison between corporate‑facing and producer‑facing teams to enable the design and pursuit of producer‑centric claimability approaches, problem‑solving and facilitating alignment where needed
  • Stay current on relevant standards, protocols, and guidance (e.g., GHG Protocol Land Sector and Removals Standard, SBTi FLAG, Value Change Initiative) to help assess implications for clients and preserve flexibility in program design
What We are Looking For:
Required
  • 4+ years of experience in client‑facing consulting, account management or program management, in sustainability, agriculture, or environmental services
  • Working knowledge of production agriculture and corporate GHG accounting, particularly with respect to Scope 3, project‑based accounting, and value chain interventions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to run client meetings independently, translate client needs into business proposals, and write clearly for executive audiences
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage client accounts
  • Comfort managing multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines
  • Described by peers as a flexible, innovative critical thinker who excels at problem‑solving and pursues practicality and producer centricity over complexity
  • Comfort operating in a small, fast‑moving team where roles flex
Preferred
  • Direct experience with agricultural supply chains, livestock systems, or conservation programs
  • Familiarity with GHG Protocol standards, SBTi guidance, and carbon market protocols
  • Experience supporting USDA conservation (e.g., RCPP, CIG, EQIP) or producer‑facing programs
  • Located in the greater Denver metro area
General Information:
  • Company Benefits include: medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K company matching, Paid time off and paid holidays, technology stipend, paid parental leave and professional development opportunities
  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000
  • Approximately 10-20% travel for conferences, team gatherings and periodic client/site visits
