Job summary

Genus (ABS Global) is seeking a Sustainability Intern to support the newly created Sustainability function. The role is in De Forest, WI or remote (US-based) with a 12-week summer program and 40 hours per week.

It involves researching sustainability topics, creating internal briefings, and developing storytelling materials to highlight livestock production and genetic improvement in sustainable feeding of the world.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or MS student in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Science, Climate Science, Sustainability, Food Systems, Marketing, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Available for 12 weeks during the summer.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct online research to create a repository of background information on key sustainability topics in livestock production.
• Develop fact sheets for internal stakeholders on environmental impact, human nutrition, rural economies, and culture.
• Build impactful presentations to communicate ABS’ sustainability message.
• Evaluate and organize sustainability attitudes and messaging from ABS markets globally.
• Collaborate with the Sustainability Marketing team to support content creation and identify effective communication channels.
• Uphold the Genus core values, mission, and vision.
• Be flexible with work responsibilities, which may occasionally fall outside normal business hours.
