Job summary

ABS Global, a Genus Company, is offering a Sustainability Intern role based in De Forest, WI or remote (US-based). You will support the newly created Sustainability function and develop materials explaining how livestock production and genetic improvement contribute to a more sustainable world.

This 12-week, 40-hour per week internship is hybrid with some remote work. You will research topics, build fact sheets, and create presentations, emphasizing collaboration and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or MS student in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Science, Climate Science, Sustainability, Food Systems, Marketing, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Available for 12 weeks during the summer.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct online research to create a repository of background information on key sustainability topics in livestock production.
• Develop fact sheets for internal stakeholders on environmental impact, human nutrition, rural economies, and culture.
• Build impactful presentations to communicate ABS’ sustainability message.
• Evaluate and organize sustainability attitudes and messaging from ABS markets globally.
• Collaborate with the Sustainability Marketing team to support content creation and identify effective communication channels.
• Uphold the Genus core values, mission, and vision.
• Be flexible with work responsibilities, which may occasionally fall outside normal business hours.
• Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
