Job summary

The College of William & Mary Dining is seeking a Sustainability Program Coordinator to lead and grow sustainability efforts across dining operations. This role serves as the primary ambassador for sustainability within W&M Dining, driving initiatives, building partnerships, and communicating impact through engaging storytelling, promotions, and outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to stay highly organized while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to plan, manage, and execute projects and operations efficiently while managing multiple moving parts.
• Passion for sustainability and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support sustainability initiatives across dining operations.
• Serve as the main point of contact for sustainability efforts within W&M Dining.
• Build and maintain partnerships with campus departments, student groups, and community organizations.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote sustainability programs through campaigns, events, and storytelling.
• Assist in creating engaging content for social media, digital platforms, and other communication channels.
• Help develop promotional materials and messaging that highlight sustainability initiatives and impact.
• Engage and support student leaders, interns, and volunteers.
• Track progress and assist with reporting, recognition, and awards.
• Work with Dining leadership and campus partners to align sustainability efforts with broader goals.
