Job summary

County of Bucks is seeking a Planner/Recycling Coordinator (Sustainability) to lead sustainability planning efforts, prepare written and graphic reports, and coordinate recycling initiatives across Bucks County. The role requires GIS experience and collaboration with planning and environmental staff.

The incumbent will manage county recycling programs, assist with HHW and e-waste events, engage municipal partners, and support DEP grant reporting and plan updates as part of ongoing environmental

Responsibilities

• Prepares or assists in environmental planning, sustainability, hazard mitigation or watershed-based plans and studies.
• Prepares plans, tools, data, and other initiatives supporting environmental and sustainability planning.
• Participates in regional environmental and watershed group committees.
• Recycling: including public education, reporting and outreach.
• Serves as county Recycling Coordinator per the requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
• Develops and implements the Bucks County component of the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Program and serve as the county's representative to regional HHW committee.
• Manages and administers the Bucks County E-Waste Collection Reimbursement Grant Program (BCERG) as directed by the commissioners.
