Job summary

Vanderbilt University is seeking a Sustainability Operations Program Coordinator to deliver operational support for sustainability and resiliency initiatives. You will work with EHSS, REFD, and campus networks to improve energy, water, waste, and overall sustainability across Vanderbilt's facilities and network campuses.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering or related field, strong communication and data skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while applying AI and analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sustainability, resiliency or related field.
• 1 year of experience in a university setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain relevant professional certifications (PE/LEED/PMP etc.) is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage sustainable operational improvements with campus units.
• Develop and improve resilience and energy/water efficiency programs.
• Track sustainability data, create dashboards, and support reporting.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Facilities, Development, and campus networks.
• Support network campuses and environmental compliance initiatives.
• Travel to network campuses as needed within the U.S.
• Prepare programmatic documents, procedures, and reports for leadership.
• Continuously learn and apply new AI/informatics methods in operations.
