Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Sustainability Engineer to lead site-wide sustainability improvements and drive its ISO50001 energy program. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven initiatives and quarterly updates to leadership.

The role supports net zero, clean energy and water goals, with a strong emphasis on ESG reporting and collaboration with Samsung HQ. On-site work in Austin, TX is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field.
• 2 years experience in sustainable engineering or clean manufacturing; 10+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with data modeling, mass/energy balance calculations, and spreadsheet analysis (advanced Excel, Python, or R).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Sustainability Project roadmap.
• Support Taylor site ramp and sustainability program integration.
• Lead site-wide Sustainability committee with key stakeholders.
• Provide executive updates on roadmap progress monthly.
• Lead ISO50001 energy management program and compliance.
• Complete ESG reporting for external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Samsung HQ counterparts weekly.

Position Summary

The Sustainability Engineer role leads site-wide sustainability improvement efforts that are critical to achieving Samsung's net zero carbon, clean energy, net positive water impact and utility conservation goals as well as maintaining ISO50001 program compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Develop and Execute Sustainability Project roadmap.
• Support Taylor site ramp and sustainability program integration.
• Lead site-wide Sustainability committee comprised of key stakeholders across various groups within company.
• Provide executive level updates on Sustainability roadmap progress and outlook on a monthly basis.
• Lead ISO50001 energy management program and compliance efforts.
• Complete ESG reporting required by external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Samsung HQ counterparts on a weekly basis.

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 2 years experience in sustainable engineering or clean manufacturing; 10+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with data modeling, mass/energy balance calculations, and spreadsheet analysis (advanced Excel, Python, or R).

Salary and Compensation

The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $174,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.

Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
