Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Safety Engineer to lead hazard identification and control at a state-of-the-art FAB. You will train staff, perform inspections, and drive incident investigations to improve safety culture on site.

Minimum 3 years’ H&S experience, CSP/CIH/CHMM or equivalent, and OSHA knowledge are required. Base pay ranges with strong benefits and on-site work in Austin, TX, with opportunity for growth in safety leadership.

Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience in Health and Safety performing similar tasks required.
  • Bachelor of Science or MS in Safety, IH, Environmental Science, Engineering, or closely related field.
  • Certification such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc. or ability to be certified required.
  • Familiarity with OSHA Regulations (Construction and General Industry) and reporting guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel on site required.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and candor.
  • Ability to perform training to ensure proper H&S practices and awareness.
  • Keen understanding of best practices and implementation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs.
  • Preference for experience in General Industry at a semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) facility.
  • Experience working with contractor pre-qualification software such as Highwire, Avetta, ISNetworld or similar preferred.
  • Familiarity with OSHA Regulations (Construction and General Industry) and reporting guidelines.

Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for a motivated Safety Engineer who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000.

Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.

Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

The base compensation for this role will depend on education, experience, skills, and location.
