Job summary

LPA is seeking a passionate Structural Design Intern to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners in Irvine, CA. He/She will contribute to the structural design of diverse building types and collaborate across disciplines.

You will gain mentorship from senior staff, participate in LPA+U and Tech Talks, and have opportunities to work on real projects with design teams in a collaborative, sustainable environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with architectural/engineering design software is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and work in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the integrated design process with other disciplines at LPA.
• Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers in the comprehensive structural design of a large variety of building types and structural systems.
• Work on research for next generation design and analysis methods related to projects.
