Job summary

Yates Construction seeks a Sustainability Lead to develop and oversee comprehensive sustainability reporting across Vernon, TX and Jackson, MS construction projects. You will ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and compliance with green building standards and client requirements.

You will drive sustainable practices in project execution, coordinate with PMs and site teams, and communicate achievements to stakeholders, including support for LEED/Green Globes certification when needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industry experience in sustainability (construction preferred).
• Experience in sustainability reporting for construction projects preferred.
• Knowledge of green building design and energy efficiency techniques preferred.
• Understanding of environmental regulations relevant to construction preferred.
• Experience with sustainability reporting platforms like Procore or EC3 highly valued.
• Experience implementing sustainability programs at project sites preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sustainability Data Management: Oversee collection, validation, and analysis of sustainability data for construction projects.
• Project-Level Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting on sustainability performance for individual projects.
• Internal Collaboration: Work with project managers, site superintendents, trade partners, procurement, and engineering to integrate sustainable practices.
• External Communication: Prepare and present sustainability reports to clients.
• Green Building Certification Support: Manage documentation and submission processes for LEED and Green Globes if required.
• Training & Support: Provide training on sustainable practices and reporting requirements.
