Watershed is the enterprise sustainability platform used by companies such as Airbnb, Carlyle Group, FedEx, Visa, and Dr. Martens to manage climate and ESG data, produce audit‑ready metrics for voluntary and regulatory reporting, and drive real decarbonization.

We are looking for a customer‑focused and analytically‑minded individual to join our San Francisco office on the Sustainability Data Advisory team. This role offers the chance to work directly with top‑tier customers as a trusted advisor, leading measurement sessions and delivering advisory services that unlock the full value of our platform.

Responsibilities

• Advise sustainability teams at many of the world’s top companies, helping them measure actionable carbon and non‑carbon footprints and achieve sustainability goals.
• Deliver services that accelerate customer success, including setting up measurements to meet sustainability goals, providing expertise in emissions verifications, and optimizing data and methodologies.
• Collaborate with science, engineering, and product teams to pioneer innovative measurement solutions and expand Watershed’s sustainability intelligence layer.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of experience in consulting, solutions‑engineering, or another customer‑facing role.
• Experience in sustainability‑related fields, greenhouse gas accounting, and/or ESG reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex topics to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to learn quickly and operate well in ambiguity; organized, systematic, and efficient in a high‑volume environment.
• Comfortable with data analysis and presentation; meticulous and detail‑obsessed.
• Passion for solving climate change and excitement to contribute in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Location & Work Expectation

Work from our San Francisco office. The position requires being on site 4 days per week. Certain roles may be eligible for remote work; such arrangements are clearly listed in the job posting.
