Job summary

Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator to plan and develop nutrition and garden education programs for youth in local schools and our summer camp program. The role focuses on education delivery and coordinating hands-on outdoor learning projects.

The position involves recruiting and managing volunteers for the U-Pick community garden, delivering community workshops, and collaborating with staff to care for food gardens and farm animals.

• Recruit and manage volunteers to support the U-Pick community garden and provide community workshops.

Job description

• Full-Time: Tuesday – Saturday, 40 hours per week.
• Salary and Benefits: Monthly stipend of $2,438.10, plus The Segal Education Award ($7,395.00) upon completion of 1700hrs.

Position Summary:Sustainability Coordinators will plan and develop nutrition and garden education programs for youth in local schools and our summer camp program. They will plan and develop nutrition and garden education programs for schools and summer camp programs; deliver classroom-based programming and plan complimentary hands-on outdoor learning projects; recruit and manage volunteers to support U-Pick community garden; provide community-wide workshops and outreach; collaborate with staff and volunteers to plant, maintain, and harvest our food gardens and care for farm animals; support P-Patch members.
