Climate Corps is offering a unique opportunity as a Sustainability and Community Engagement Fellow, based in Milpitas, California. This 10-month hybrid fellowship engages you in sustainability initiatives focused on the community, particularly under the recently adopted Climate Action Plan. You will support outreach efforts, develop educational materials, and work alongside residents to promote climate resilience.

Fellows receive a monthly stipend of $3,500, health care coverage, and professional development opportunities. Ideal candidates are those with a passion for sustainability and a commitment to community engagement.

Qualifications

• Commitment to a fair workplace that values all individuals' experiences.
• Authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the fellowship.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop outreach and education materials related to sustainability.
• Organize community events to promote sustainability initiatives.
• Track climate action plan implementation and metrics.

Skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Experience or education in renewable energy or climate change

Experience with social media and content creation
