Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to join a large oil and gas company in Houston, TX. The role supports transparent, accurate, and timely reporting of sustainability and climate-related risks, opportunities, and performance metrics to investors, regulators, and the public.

You will collate and synthesize information aligned with applicable legislation, frameworks and standards to support disclosures; draft and maintain content for internal and external sustainability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 2+ years of corporate sustainability experience in a multinational setting.
• Experience with sustainability disclosure practices and data benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Support transparent, accurate reporting of sustainability and climate-related risks, opportunities, and performance metrics to investors, regulators, and the public.
• Collate and synthesize sustainability information aligned with applicable legislation, frameworks, and standards to support disclosures.
• Draft, update, and maintain content for internal and external sustainability communications, including websites and platforms.
• Coordinate tracking and close-out of comments across draft disclosures.
• Conduct research projects and benchmarking analyses on sustainability topics to inform reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Economics, Earth Sciences or related field.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office suite.
• 2 + years of experience in corporate sustainability in a multi-national organization, with a focus on sustainability disclosure practices and corporate sustainability strategies, use of corporate data management systems to benchmark and synthesize data and communicate trends and insights from corporate sustainability sources.
• Proficient in the following sustainability topics: greenhouse gas emissions, climate-related risks and opportunities, human rights, social capital, environmental stewardship, health and safety and the NGO landscape.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to different non-technical audiences.
• Proficient knowledge, understanding and experience of the application of some or all of the sustainability reporting frameworks, standards and guidelines, including the SASB, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, CSRD, TNFD and Ipieca.
