We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Analyst to join our clients Corporate Sustainability team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to build a strong foundation in corporate sustainability within a global healthcare manufacturing organization. The Sustainability Analyst will play a key role in supporting enterprise-wide environmental data management, emissions tracking, sustainability reporting, documentation governance, and customer sustainability engagements. This position provides hands-on exposure to energy analytics, ESG data systems, cross-functional site coordination, and sustainability strategy initiatives. The role offers meaningful responsibility from day one with opportunities for mentorship and professional development.
Sustainability Analyst Key Responsibilities
- Environmental Data & Energy Invoice Management
- Collect energy invoices from SAP, GFS, and site contacts.
- Verify supplier details, account numbers, billing periods, and invoice accuracy.
- Submit invoices to third-party support through established data-sharing processes.
- Record submission status in the Invoice Collection tracking tool.
- Identify overdue or missing invoices and create backlog items for resolution.
- Maintain and monitor sustainability data backlog logs.
- Ensure backlog items are not closed without documented resolution.
- Flag inconsistencies or misuse of backlog tracking processes.
- Send weekly status communications highlighting overdue items and action owners.
- Participate in recurring status meetings with third-party support and internal stakeholders.
- Data Quality Assurance & Control Reviews
- Review Power BI dashboards identifying invoice or consumption anomalies.
- Create backlog items to flag out-of-tolerance values requiring investigation.
- Perform routine invoice validation (e.g., electric invoices at U.S. sites).
- Document findings and corrective actions within backlog systems.
- Support continuous improvement of data validation processes.
- Sustainability Surveys & Site Data Interfaces
- Coordinate sustainability-related data requests including waste, refrigerants, emissions equipment, and forward-looking emissions initiatives.
- Collect data from global sites and perform quality checks for completeness and consistency.
- Follow up on missing or unclear responses to ensure timely reporting.
- Documentation & Record Management
- Maintain structured documentation supporting sustainability reporting and audit readiness.
- Organize lease agreements related to energy or facilities.
- Maintain emission calculation methodologies and supporting documentation.
- Ensure version control and proper document governance practices.
- Coordinate and respond to customer sustainability questionnaires and assessments.
- Maintain a centralized library of approved sustainability responses.
- Track submission deadlines and response status.
- Support preparation for customer sustainability discussions and engagements.
- Support supplier sustainability data requests
- Manage suppler sustainability documentation
- Support the supplier sustainability engagement strategy
Sustainability Analyst Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 0–3 years of professional experience (internships and co-ops welcomed).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI (or similar reporting tools), and SAP or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and structured processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Sustainability Analyst Preferred Knowledge And Skills
- Exposure to environmental data, energy management, or ESG reporting.
- Familiarity with greenhouse gas emissions concepts (Scope 1 and Scope 2).
- Experience coordinating data collection across multiple stakeholders.
- Interest in corporate sustainability strategy and cross-functional collaboration.
Travel Requirements
- 5%: Up to 13 business days per year
