Job summary

Kuza Scottsdale is seeking an experienced Sushi Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef in leading kitchen operations. You will oversee all aspects of the sushi program from team development to menu creation, maintaining high standards of food and sanitation.

Successful candidates will have over 2 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in high-volume settings, excel in communication skills, and have knowledge of Japanese cuisine. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
• Excellent knife skills and mastery of fish butchery and sushi rice handling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of the sushi program.
• Assist in supervising BOH staff and lead pre-shift meetings.
• Ensure kitchen organization and cleanliness.
