Job summary

Sushi by Scratch Restaurants in Miami is looking for an experienced sushi cook to join a disciplined kitchen and help maintain SBS standards with pride and precision.

You will execute recipes, assist with inventory, and support daily service, stepping into leadership for the Head Chef when needed. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential in this fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen experience in fine dining or high-standard kitchens is preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• High personal and professional standards.
• Ability to work clean, organized, and efficiently.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Current ServSafe Food Handler or ability to obtain before starting.
• Reliability, punctuality, and consistency in prep + service.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow systems.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting daily service with focus and professionalism, filling in the leadership role for the Head Chef
