Job summary

OMAKAI in Miami, FL is seeking a Server with at least two years of serving experience. This position offers both part-time (20-29 hours) and full-time (30+ hours) options, with opportunities to work lunch shifts and weekends.

Certifications in SafeServe, alcohol service, allergy compliance, and harassment prevention are required or acquired during training. Candidates must be reliable, guest-focused, and able to learn the entire menu, explain our guarantees, and upsell in an honest, professional

Qualifications

• Two years of serving experience required.
• Available for at least 2 lunches per week and willing to work at least 1 double per week.
• Certifications: SafeServe, alcohol service, allergy compliance, harassment prevention, training provided.
• Japanese cuisine knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Able to learn and memorize the full menu and pairings.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu and pairings.
• Take orders accurately and process payments on our POS system.
• Maintain clean, organized stations and assist team during rushes.
• Provide excellent, non-pressuring recommendations and attentive service.
• Ensure safety, allergy checks, and compliance throughout service.

Education

Two years of serving experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

SafeServe certification

Alcohol service certification

Allergy compliance training

Sexual harassment prevention certification
