A leading company in the food industry is seeking a Sushi Chef to prepare high-quality sushi rolls and assist customers with special requests. The role involves working alongside experienced chefs, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates should have a background in culinary arts and be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

In this role, you will help prepare fresh, high-quality sushi rolls to be sold in our store, as well as assist customers with made-to-order or special requests. You will work alongside experienced sushi chefs, learning traditional techniques and perfecting your craft in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements including forceful pinching and gripping, as well as awkward and forceful postures of the wrist, bending, reaching, frequent lifting, and occasional heavy lifting. Continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment is required. Items lifted typically weigh 5–20 pounds, with a maximum of 50 pounds rarely needed. Moderate to high upper extremity repetition and moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting are involved. The environment is indoors, with exposure to cold temperatures (33–55°F) and proximity to hot equipment (>135°F). Basic tools include common kitchen utensils, rice cooker, fryer, wrapping equipment, and packaging supplies. Exposure to potential allergens is possible.
Food preparation experience is preferred, with a background in culinary arts or as a prep cook/apprentice cook being advantageous.
