Wegmans in New York is seeking a sushi-prep teammate to assist in preparing fresh, high-quality sushi and support customers with made-to-order requests.

You will work with seasoned sushi chefs, learn traditional techniques, and maintain a clean, presentable kitchen in a fast-paced, customer-focused store environment.

Qualifications

• Associate - Culinary Arts background or equivalent training.
• Experience in food preparation and handling in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to assist in making sushi and follow recipes and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice.
• Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items as per recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization, following food safety guidelines.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment ensuring timely preparation.
• Uphold excellent food presentation and customer satisfaction.
