Job summary

Zuma Restaurants is seeking a skilled Sushi Cook to prepare high-quality sushi and sashimi in a fast-paced kitchen. You will work closely with the kitchen team to uphold Zuma's standards and contribute to an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Our ideal candidate has experience as a Sushi Cook or Sushi Chef in high-volume settings, with strong knife skills and seafood handling. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required to support our vibrant service culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in sushi preparation and plating according to established recipes and standards.
• Proficiency with knife skills, seafood handling, and sushi rolling.
• Knowledge of different fish, seafood, and presentation styles.
• Ability to work well with a large team in a high-volume environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Handle and portion seafood, including slicing, filleting, and cutting fish for sushi and sashimi.
• Ensure freshness, quality, and proper storage of seafood and ingredients.
• Follow recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including equipment and work surfaces.

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare sushi and sashimi dishes according to established recipes and plating standards

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
