Job summary

PLANTA in Bethesda is seeking a dedicated Sushi Cook to manage the Sushi station, including prep, mise en place, and cooking to recipe standards. You will maintain a clean, efficient workstation and ensure food safety while delivering high-quality dishes for guests.

The role requires 1-2 years of sushi cook experience, a can-do attitude, and flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays. PLANTA offers a supportive team, growth opportunities, and a culture focused on equity and nourishing

SUSHI COOK

Reporting to the Culinary Leader, the Sushi Cook is responsible for the Sushi station from prepping, cleaning, and cooking food as per recipe standards, while maintaining a sanitized work area. The successful individual is passionate about the culinary industry and creating memorable dishes for our guests.

• Prepare station for service, complete mise en place and stock list
• Prepare dishes during service in a high paced and detail orientated kitchen
• Prepare all assigned menu items in an efficient and consistent manner
• Have extensive knowledge on cooking temperatures and general food safety regulations
• Place the highest value and importance on cleanliness and organization in all aspects of the kitchen while ensuring company and kitchen standards are met at all times

INGREDIENTS YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

• 1 -2 years sushi cook experience
