Uchi Washington DC is seeking sushi chefs to join our downtown DC team. Compensation averages $24–$34 per hour, consisting of a base rate of $13–$17 per hour plus tips.

Job Description: Uchi Washington DC is accepting resumes for Sushi Chefs! Located in downtown D.C. (1150 17th Street NW). Compensation: Our Sushi Chefs earn an average of $24 - $34/hr ($13.00 -$17.00/hr base +tips)

Uchi, 'house' in Japanese, was founded by James Beard Award–winning Chef Tyson Cole. A delicate balance of elevated food and impeccable service, Uchi offers non-traditional Japanese cuisine with signature tastings, sushi, and a seasonal omakase — creating an experience that is both unexpected and unforgettable. Basic Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other employees

• Bend, stoop, and reach to access various areas and items

• Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, both hot and cold
• Lift, push, or pull objects such as tables and chairs to reconfigure seating arrangements
• Ability to use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, grills, and knives
