Job Summary

Prepares and presents sushi and related food products to customers.

Responsibilities

• Offer a unique combination of restaurant, catering and special event experience to customers.
• Demonstrate high‑level knife skills and special skills associated with sushi prep, production and presentation.
• Store foods in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintain appropriate serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation of all equipment, supplies and utensils within the work area; clean workstation thoroughly before leaving; keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to assure compliance with sanitation, ServSafe, safety, OSHA, production and merchandising requirements.
• Interact with customers to enhance dining experience; demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and be able to accurately explain them to customers and associates.
• Keep up with peak production and service hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Three years of previous experience in a sushi kitchen.
• Full‑time availability; schedule may vary, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Location: Samsung – 3655 North First Street, San Jose, CA 95134.

Compensation

Pay range $24.00 per hour to $26.00 per hour.
