Job summary

The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska seeks a Victim Advocate to coordinate victim services in collaboration with social services, tribal court, law enforcement, probation, and behavioral health. You will work with adults and youth affected by family, domestic, and dating violence, both inside and outside shelters, offering information, emotional support, and resource navigation.

Responsibilities include direct shelter work at Laura's House, confidentiality, safety planning, and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Omaha culture, tribal systems, and tribal referral process.
• Strong computer skills and public speaking abilities, including delivering community lectures and education on trauma, domestic violence, and related topics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and implementation of the Omaha Family Violence Program.
• Provide direct services at Laura's House shelter; maintain confidentiality and safety; be on call 24/7 including holidays.
