Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems is seeking a Survivability Engineer to provide design, analysis and tool development for survivable platforms. You will work on RF integration, 2D/3D RCS analyses, and measurement fixtures to validate designs.

Responsibilities include developing analysis tools, predicting RF properties, and guiding design iterations with senior staff. Strong communication and leadership potential are required; DoD clearance is required or can be pursued.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelors, masters or PhD in engineering or related field with progressive experience (4+ yrs with Bachelors or 2+ with Masters).
• Experience in electromagnetics with RF integration and low observable design is essential.
• Proficiency with 2D/3D RCS tools (RAM2D, Aurora, XPATCH, SENTRi) and data analysis.
• Experience CAD/meshing with NX, Rhino, Cubit; programming in MATLAB, LabVIEW or Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools for analysis and prediction of platform performance.
• Predict RF properties and suggest design changes to meet program objectives.
• Lead and support survivable platform designs and test activities.
• Prepare technical reports, PDR/CDR presentations, and proposals.
