Job summary

SITECH Northeast is seeking a Surveyor Support Engineer to join our team in White River Junction, VT. This full-time, non-union role trains customers on Trimble-branded products, supports robotic total stations and GNSS, and helps ensure accurate construction layout and takeoffs.

You will travel daily to job sites around Vermont, work with 3D models and software like Trimble Business Center, and act as SME for layout on dirt-moving equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with GNSS and robotic total stations on construction sites.
• Strong surveying techniques, including stakes, blueprints, and 3D models.
• Familiar with Trimble/Leica/Topcon layout technologies.
• Willingness to travel throughout Vermont.

Responsibilities

• Train customers on Trimble products in one-on-one or small groups.
• Serve as SME for construction layout using robotic total stations and GNSS.
• Develop skills to support Trimble Business Center software.

Surveyor Support Engineer

Job Location: US-VT-White River Junction

Type: FT Non-Union (FTN)

If you have a passion for moving dirt once instead of twice; If you like to leverage technology to improve productivity on construction sites; if you know your way around construction paper plans, grade stakes, Robotic Total Stations, GNSS positioning and machine control on dirt moving equipment, we want to hear from you.

Pay Range: $60k-$70k salary plus bonus.

Responsibilities

• Execute training to customers on the use of Trimble branded products in a "one on one" or small group setting.
• Become the "Subject Matter Expert" for construction layout utilizing Robotic total stations and GNSS technology.
• Develop skill sets to support Trimble Business Center software (TBC) for 3D modeling and takeoff.
• Support file management on construction sites for automated machine control as well as layout
• Machine operating skills not needed but must have a comfort level working around operating machines.
• Travel to new location potentially daily.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with construction site layout using GNSS and Robotic Total Station technologies.
• Strong survey techniques/background, know your way around grade stakes, blue prints and 3D models.
• Familiar in Trimble and/or Leica and/or Topcon layout technologies and how they are used in the field.
• Desire to use technologies that could include Trimble Business Center, Siteworks, Works Manager, Works OS, TDS Survey Pro, Carlson CE, Topcon Pocket 3D, or CAD based programs.
• Passion for heavy equipment, technology and productivity.
• Solid written and verbal communication as well as problem solving skills.
• Valid driver's license, a clean driving record and the ability to travel throughout Vermont as needed.
