Overview

Position Summary

This position requires a Licensed Virginia Land Surveyor with knowledge of Land Surveying practices and techniques. Additionally, having experience and an understanding of AutoCAD Civil3D/Carlson Civil Suite is preferred. This role will be asked to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of surveying techniques, procedures, and criteria. The individual should have experience in leading people, delivering projects, performing customer service and marketing tasks to help develop projects and clients.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with office and field survey staff
  • Create and maintain working relationships with clients and potential clients
  • Delivery of a quality product and superior service to external and internal clients
  • Prepare proposals and invoices. Be responsible for project financial performance
  • Adhere to company safety polices with use of personal protective equipment, (PPE)
  • Complete internal and external training as required

Job Duties:

  • Understands and follows professional survey standards, codes, and survey related procedures for conducting land surveying survey services.
  • Should be capable of executing survey strategies which include but are not limited to preparing a description of the scope of work to be performed, guiding, and directing survey personnel, preparing, and executing to budgets, time schedules and the ability to identifying key survey tasks necessary for the completion of survey activities.
  • Should be competent in identifying and executing survey strategies to meet key survey and project objectives.
  • Maintains close communications with the Survey Team including Project Managers, Survey Director, and Client Representative to report survey progress.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Virginia Professional Surveyor Licensure - in good standing
  • Prefer 10+ years of progressive experience.
  • Valid Driver License

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
