Job summary

Prince Contracting, LLC is seeking a field surveying assistant to support daily survey activities. You will operate GPS, Trimble, and Total Solution equipment, assist with layout and measurements, and maintain surveying gear and supplies.

The role involves working outdoors and coordinating with the Survey Manager to ensure data accuracy. Applicants should have surveying construction exposure, be capable of lifting 25–50 lbs, and communicate effectively in English or Spanish.

Qualifications

• Previous surveying construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs several times daily.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

Job description

This position involves the usage and operation of surveying instruments/equipment as well as compiling and entering data into computers.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:

• The daily maintenance and preparation of surveying equipment and vehicle
• Provides assistance to Survey Manager in regard to layout and measurements.
• Operating GPS, Trimble, and Total Solution equipment.
• Maintaining all surveying supplies.
• Comparing survey computations with applicable standards to determine adequacy of data.
• Equipment verification once a month.
• Attends safety meeting and trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous relevant surveying construction experience is highly preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English or Spanish, due to nature of job.
• Must be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs. several times a day.
• High School diploma is highly preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours. (daytime/nighttime)
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be accustomed to working in outside environment.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Must possess and maintain clean Florida driver’s license.
