Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Surveyor/GPS Technician with a background in civil construction. The ideal candidate will be passionate about heavy highway and civil construction projects, including earthwork, paving, structures, and underground utilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide construction layout data and machine control/survey models to support field production.
  2. Create, manage, and maintain project layout data and machine control files.
  3. Establish and maintain standardized GPS survey models for project operations.
  4. Schedule and coordinate work with field operations.
  5. Develop and implement standard operating procedures for GPS construction layout.
  6. Perform calculations related to alignments, drainage, structures, and roadway modeling.
  7. Conduct quality control checks on data and survey calculations.
  8. Collaborate with field teams to guide the utilization of GPS construction data.
  9. Address problems and adapt to changing project needs.
  10. Perform job duties while upholding company values.
  11. May lead or direct the work of others.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of six months of experience in GPS and construction field layout, particularly in heavy civil construction.
  2. Proficient with Trimble survey equipment and software (Trimble Business Center, GPS base, and Rover).
  3. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Education/Experience:
