Job summary

OPD, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Surveyor for the Mt. Belvieu, TX area. You will perform field surveying on construction projects, measure distances and angles, and determine boundary lines while ensuring data accuracy and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of surveying experience in a construction environment, can read civil/structural drawings, and are willing to travel to remote sites, with a valid Surveyor License preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Surveyor in a construction environment.
• Must be able to read and understand civil, structural, and pipe drawings.
• Travel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times.
• Must be willing and able to attend all mandatory safety meetings.
• Must be able to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.
• Must be able to meet all physical demands of the jobs.

Responsibilities

• Measure distances and angles between points on, above, and below the Earth's surface
• Use known reference points to determine the exact location of important features
• Look for evidence of previous boundaries to determine where boundary lines are located
• Record the results of surveying and verify the accuracy of the data
• Read and interpret schematic/blueprints
