Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a seasoned land surveyor with Florida licensure to lead surveying projects, coordinate with CAD, and prepare data for field crews. The role includes boundary surveys, plats, topographic mapping, and post-survey analysis.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of experience, a Florida Professional Survey License, and a 2-year associate degree. Strong leadership and client-relationship skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 Year A.S. Degree required.
• 10+ Years’ surveying experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

• This role focuses on surveying and project management for land surveys, boundary surveys, plats, topographic mapping, and related data preparation for field crews.
• Coordinate with CAD teams, prepare survey crew information packages, and oversee data transfers.
• Lead and mentor team members, maintain client relationships, and uphold Pike Engineering’s core values.

Position Overview:

Surveying and project management for: land surveys; records of survey; boundary surveys, boundary line adjustments; plats; topographic mapping; conceptual layouts / site plans; deed plotting; preparation and set-up of survey data for field crews; post survey field data analysis; construction layout calculations; grade sheet computation; boundary survey resolution; Alta / ASCM Land Title Survey preparation; construction as-builts; surveyors and/or layout sketches; preparation of metes & bonds descriptions; project datum conversion/transformation; coordination with CAD; prepare survey crew information packages and field assignments, data collector transfers, coordinate lists and worksheet plotting; and other duties as assigned.

• Prior Electric Utility Surveying Experience
• Prior FDOT (Florida Dept. of Transportation) ROW Surveying and Mapping experience
