Job summary

C.T. Male Associates, a multi-discipline surveying, engineering, and architectural firm in the Northeast, seeks a detail-oriented Survey Technician for our Latham, NY office. You will turn field data into accurate maps and deliverables, using Trimble and Civil 3D within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include boundary/topographic mapping, data analysis, deed research, and field support, with a pay range of $26.00–$40.00 per hour, weekly pay, commensurate with experience. A.A.S.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. Degree in Surveying Technology or certificate from college/technical school with 3+ years related experience or equivalent.
• Complete understanding of surveying terminology.
• Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to analyze and interpret record plans/maps.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Health and Safety training is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boundary, topographic, utility, and other survey-related maps/exhibits.
• Perform contour plotting and assist with data analysis.
• Assist with preliminary boundary determinations under guidance of Project Managers.
• Prepare field crew worksheets and project support materials.
• Conduct deed research and obtain survey-related information from municipalities, government agencies, utilities, and other survey professionals.
• Understand and protract deeds, maps, and easements with proper notation.
• Support field survey operations as needed, including preparation for field assignments.
• Download and process GPS and field data using Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
